How much water should you be drinking?

By: Kevin Tangeros, L.Ac., MSOM

Every cell in our body needs water. Sooo, in short that means we need to be drinking a lot of water! You may hear different answers when this topic is brought up, but we should be drinking half of our body weight in ounces every day. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, then you should be drinking 75 ounces of water daily. This is a question I ask all of my patients and give them guidance on, because dehydration almost always contributes to any problem they may be experiencing. Issues like pain, fatigue, sore muscles, constipation, and headaches can all be due to a lack of water!

Water is life. Drink up!
